No. Only vehicles with 4 or more wheels need a Bulgarian e-vignette. Motorcycles can use all roads freely.
What's the shortest Bulgarian vignette period?
Since February 2026, Bulgaria offers a 1-day vignette (€4.09). There's also a weekend option (€5.11, valid Fri 12:00 to Sun 24:00) and a weekly version (€7.67).
What are the Bulgarian vignette fines?
BGN 400 (≈€205). Enforcement is AI-powered camera-based, so detection is near-certain on motorways. Apple Pay and Google Pay are now accepted for fast payment.
Is Bulgaria switching to the euro?
Yes, Bulgaria adopted the euro on 1 January 2026 at the fixed rate of 1.95583 BGN = 1 EUR. Vignette prices are now displayed in both currencies and are identical in value.
Does the vignette cover all Bulgarian national roads?
